THE LEAGUE OF women voters, montgomery County, VA & VOTE 411

1200px-LWV_Logo.svg.png

The League of Women Voters believes that it is very important for all citizens to be informed voters.

They have created an online voter guide, at www.VOTE411.org where voters can compare candidates positions in their own words so they can gain a clearer impression of who we are and where we stand. The responses will also be publicized prior to the election in local newspapers, the local League website (www.lwvmcva.org), the local NAACP branch website (www.mrfnaacp.org), and through social media.

Why Should I Vote Absentee?

  • With the current health risks posed by COVID-19, voting absentee helps our community by exposing fewer people.

  • Absentee voting puts fewer people together at the polls on May 5, keeping more people safe at home.

  • Many of our poll workers are elderly and could be more at risk from contracting the virus. Using absentee voting, our elections officers can work with a "skeleton crew" on May 5.

How Do I Vote Absentee?

  • You may request your absentee ballot now, even if you don't know who you would like to vote for.

  • The ballot cannot change between now and May 5th.

  • Please request your absentee ballot early, then mail it in ANY TIME.

  • As long as the Registrar gets it by 7:00 pm on May 5, 2020,
    it WILL be counted.

  • The Absentee Application may be completed online or printed and mailed to:
    Radford Elections
    619 2nd Street
    Radford, VA 24141
